2026 Events
We hold three Shows a year – Spring, Summer and Autumn
Our events have classes for vegetables, flowers, floral art, cooking, photography and crafts, as well as children’s classes. DHS members and their children are encouraged to enter for the shows and so help us maintain this village tradition.
Entry to competitions and classes is open to our members and each entry costs 20p.
Spring Bulb Show 2026
The DHS Spring Show will be held in the Ditchling Village Hall on Sunday 22nd March.
Summer Show 2026
The DHS Summer Show will be held in the Ditchling Village Hall on Sunday 14th June.
Autumn Show 2026
The DHS Autumn Show will be held in the Ditchling Village Hall on Sunday 13th September.
Ditchling Open Gardens 2026
Come and wander round our 8 beautiful village gardens on Sunday 31st May. Stop for some tea & cake or shop for plants and produce. Following last year’s success, we will be opening again in support of St Peter and St James Hospice.
National Garden Scheme - Open Gardens
On Saturday 30th August 2025, the group is opening 6 gardens as part of the National Garden Scheme. Have a great day out seeing beautiful gardens and eating homemade cakes. Your visit will be helping to support some of the best loved nursing and health charities in the UK. Find out more and buy tickets by visiting their website, linked below. On the day, you will be able to buy a ticket and map. Look out for the posters and signature on Ditchling High Street. Details will also be posted on Ditchling Horticultural Society Facebook page nearer the time.

Annual General Meeting - November 2026
All welcome to our yearly meeting on Tuesday 3rd November 2026, where we will review the past year, update committee members, and discuss issues and plans for the year ahead. With drinks, nibbles and a raffle!
